LESSON 02 · 5 MINUTE READ

Build a useful variety shortlist

Compare candidates with a familiar variety. Check the source, pack details and evidence before requesting sample seed.

Keep a familiar reference

Include a variety you already grow or can describe reliably. It gives you a reference for the same season and management. A candidate name or reference photograph alone does not establish cultivar identity or local suitability.

Record what is known

For each candidate, note the supplier, variety name, crop, seed lot if supplied, growing system and the reason for your interest. Keep supplier claims separate from your own observations. Mark missing information as unknown.

Ask before committing

Check sample availability, quantity, treatment, intended use, price and lead time with AgriCart. For special sourcing, an enquiry starts a review; it does not confirm supply, permissions or an import. Keep the eventual quote and agreed terms with your trial record.
